    Elsie Wallace, 78, of rural Middle River died peacefully on Friday evening, February 21, 2020 in her home under Hospice care surrounded by her family. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church Thief Lake, rural Middle River. Burial will be in the church cemetery.     Search for new TRF superintendent may begin soon

    The Thief River Falls School District may soon be looking for a new superintendent. On Feb. 26, the Sauk Rapids-Rice School Board decided to enter into negotiations with Thief River Falls Superintendent Brad Bergstrom to be superintendent of their schools. The Sauk Rapids-Rice School Board made the decision, according to the St. Cloud Times, Wednesday night after a second of two daylong interviews with two finalists. Bergstrom is in his fourth year as superintendent in Thief River Falls. Before that, he was a director of human resources in the Austin School District.
